Stay Hydrated. Drink plenty of good fluids. This includes water, tea and soups/broth without added sugar. Avoid sugary drinks such as soda, sports drinks and juice with added sugar. Electrolytes are important for your body and help you stay hydrated but make sure you're getting them from fruits and vegetables instead of sports drinks.
Eat healthy foods. The reason we become more susceptible to illnesses is because of the amount of toxins built up in our body. Most of these toxins come from the food we eat. A cold and flu are actually beneficial for building the immune system and expelling these toxins. You will just prolong the sickness if you continue to eat junk while you're sick.
Get plenty of rest. I'm sure you have a very busy schedule and don't have time to take off even if you're sick but it's very important that you do. The more rest you get, the quicker you will recover.
